Links to sportsbooks on this site are commercial. Here is exactly what that means.
When you follow a link from this site to a sportsbook and open an account, this site may receive a payment from that sportsbook. It costs you nothing and it does not change the offer you receive. Every such link is marked as sponsored in the page markup and routed through a /go/ address so it is identifiable and nothing about it is disguised.
Two consequences follow, and both matter more than the disclosure itself.
The list is not the market. Only sportsbooks we have a commercial relationship with can appear. Books we cannot link are absent regardless of how good their offers are, so the absence of a sportsbook from these pages says nothing about it. Anyone comparing offers seriously should look beyond this site as well as at it.
The ordering is arithmetic, not commercial. The ranking on the sportsbooks page comes from converting each welcome offer to expected cash using the formula published on the methodology page, applied identically to every entry. A partner whose offer converts badly ranks badly. The method is published so that claim is checkable instead of something you have to take on trust.
The calculators themselves are unaffected. They take the numbers you enter and return arithmetic, and no commercial arrangement changes what a price implies.
